Alex Stringfellow

Born and raised in Central Florida, Alex Stringfellow has witnessed firsthand the evolution of Florida’s landscape and communities. As the founder and principal of Stringfellow Planning & Design, Alex has built his career at the intersection of urban design, land planning, and development strategy.

Alex and his wife have lived in Winter Park for thirteen years, where they are raising their two children. Deeply rooted in the community, Alex brings both professional expertise and a personal investment in the region’s quality of life and long-term growth.

Alex earned his Master’s in Urban Planning from Rollins College, where his passion for sustainable development and thoughtful city-making took shape. Over the course of his career, he has rewritten land development codes shaping more than twenty-five square miles of Florida communities, master planned thousands of acres, and overseen a wide range of public infrastructure and community improvement projects.

Known for his collaborative approach and practical vision, Alex has established strong relationships with city and county leaders across Central Florida. Whether drafting policy, envisioning a new neighborhood, or guiding complex entitlements, he works to create places that are both beautiful and enduring.

Alex currently serves on the Winter Park Planning & Zoning Board and remains active in the Florida Chapters of the Congress for the New Urbanism and the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art. His commitment to civic engagement and timeless urbanism continues to shape the region he proudly calls home.
